Saron Mekonnen joins CEDAR as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator. She received her B.S. in Biology with minors in Neuroscience, Psychology, and Chemistry from the University of Portland in 2021. Saron is passionate about working with diverse and underserved patient populations to improve health outcomes. She has wide-ranging experience working with vulnerable and underrepresented communities in a variety of clinical, research, and social service settings. Saron is highly interested in research focused on improving health outcomes and quality of life through disease prevention and early detection.She is excited to collaborate with teams doing cutting edge work to advance CEDAR’s mission of detecting and stopping cancer early. In her spare time, Saron enjoys photography and learning to play piano.
