Dr. Collins is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, with more than 30 years of experience in Mohs surgery and skin cancer care. At OHSU he serves as an adjunct assistant professor where he helps run their high-risk skin cancer clinic.

While patient care is his main focus, Dr. Collins is very active in other areas of medicine, serving on 12 task forces and committees with the American Academy of Dermatology and several with the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Collins has been recognized with a variety of awards, including several “firsts” that were created to recognize both his service and passion for improving dermatologic care. Additionally, he has received 16 Presidential Citations from the American Academy of Dermatology as well as assorted national volunteerism awards.

Outside of work, Dr. Collins enjoys mountain biking, hiking, fly-fishing, birding and exploring off-grid.  With his training in Wilderness Medicine as a first responder he is a member of the Jefferson County Search and Rescue team, the health and safety director for the Sister’s Trail Alliance, and a member of the health and safety team for the Deschutes Land Trust.
