Biography

Shinpei Shibata was born and raised in Japan and came to the United States when he was 18.  He trained in Pediatric Critical Care at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.  He worked with Doctors Without Borders prior to joining the OHSU PICU in 2011.  Dr. Shibata is interested in medical education and he is the Resident Rotation Director and Co-Director of the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship, He is also a Portfolio Coach in the acute Care College of the School of Medicine.

He and his dog, Lucy, live in South East Portland.
