Dr. Shobana Aravind is the Director of Operations at the Casey Reading Center. She has over 15 years of experience in clinical research administration, conduct of clinical trials and pharmaceutical product development. Data quality and data management have been her particular areas of expertise.

Prior to joining the Casey Reading Center, she led clinical research projects and managed teams active in multiple clinical trials in all phases. She completed her doctoral degree in pharmaceutical science - drug development from the National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR), University of Mississippi, followed by a clinical pharmacy fellowship at OSU/ OHSU College of Pharmacy. Dr. Aravind is also a certified clinical research professional (CCRP) from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).

She looks forward to collaborating with sponsors working on ophthalmic clinical trials helping to advance vision research and provide hope for treating sight-threatening eye diseases.
