Biography
Dr. Tavri is a Board Certified Vascular and Interventional Radiologist. He is passionate about the whole gamut of minimally invasive image-guided vascular and non-vascular interventions like Interventional Oncology especially Liver cancer, complex hepatobiliary and portal hypertension interventions, gastrointestinal and genitourinary interventions, venous diseases like deep venous thrombosis, IVC filters, pulmonary embolism, Dialysis interventions, trauma and emergent bleeding conditions and more. He believes in a personalized, clinically driven and patient-oriented multi-disciplinary management approach and enjoys collaborating with colleagues from other specialties.
Dr. Tavri joined the Dotter Interventional Institute at OHSU as an Associate Professor in 2021. Before this, he was an Academic Interventional Radiologist at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio for 6 years. He is very passionate about education and research and has teaching awards, grant funding and peer-reviewed publications to his credit. He believes in innovation and research and hopes to push the limits of his specialty to further optimize patient care and quality of life. Dr. Tavri also serves as an Assistant Editor for the American Journal of Roentgenology, peer-reviewer for various other journals and plays an active voluntary role in various committees of the Society of Interventional Radiology and American Board of Radiology.
Originally from Mumbai, India Dr. Tavri has lived in the United States since 2007. In his free time, he enjoys photography and outdoor activities like biking, hiking, traveling, exploring food and culture with his family and friends; and therefore is very excited to explore the Pacific Northwest.
