Biography
Sophia Soriano is a Computational Biologist Intern at OHSU CEDAR focusing on analyzing proteomics data. She is currently working towards completing a Masters in Biology with a focus in Bioinformatics and Genomics from the University of Oregon Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program (KCGIP). She completed her B.A. in Biology with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Connecticut College, along with a minor in Computer Science. She also worked for 3 years as an R&D Chemist/Senior Chemist at NuSil Technologies in Carpinteria, CA developing novel silicone materials for drug delivery and medical applications. Sophia is excited to be a part of the CEDAR team and be given the opportunity to contribute her knowledge and skills to advancing CEDAR’s mission.
