Steven Blakesley M.AT. is the team cohesion lead with the Community Outreach Research and Engagement (CORE) team. He works with both the Knight Cancer Institute and the Oregon Clinical Translation and Research Institute (OCTRI), connecting communities with research and researchers with community.

Steven leverages his experience in public health, teaching and marketing and many years working in community to lead qualitative research activities like Community Engagement Studios, focus groups, community conversations, key informant interviews etc. He is particularly interested creating and helping others build community advisory groups so they are sustainable and seek greater equity through shifting and balancing power.

Steven joined OHSU and the CORE team in 2016. He works remotely and resides in Gearhart, Oregon.
