Sudhir Isharwal, M.D., M.B.A.

Biography
Dr. Isharwal provides care for patients with cancers of genital and urinary tract. His clinical and research focus include bladder cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and testis cancer. He performs advanced minimally invasive surgeries including robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgeries as well as open surgeries. He performs nerve-sparing procedures for prostatectomy, cystectomy, and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection. For patients undergoing cystectomy, he performs all forms of urinary diversion/reconstruction. His research focuses on improving the clinical outcomes of patients with urological cancers.
Dr. Isharwal is board-certified urology oncologist. He completed his urology oncology fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic. Concurrently with his fellowship, Dr. Isharwal was part of a Clinical Research Scholars Program at Case Western Reserve University. He attended medical school at Pt. B. D. Sharma PGIMS. After medical school, he spent two years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh with a research focus on the prostate cancer development and progression. Subsequently, he completed a Urology residency at the University of Nebraska.
Dr. Isharwal holds membership of several professional organizations including American Urological Association and Society of Urology Oncology. Also, Dr. Isharwal reviews research articles for multiple journals including Journal of Urology, BMC cancer, and Cancer cell international. He has authored several research papers and has presented his work at multiple national meetings.
Outside of work, Dr. Isharwal enjoys running, swimming, hiking, reading non-fiction books, and spending time with friends.
