Biography
Dr. Govindan completed a combined B.S./M.D. program at Drexel University/Drexel University College of Medicine in 2010 followed by his Internal Medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess, completed in 2013. He did a year of subspecialty training in Pulmonary and Critical Care before working as a hospitalist at Newton Wellesley Hospital outside of Boston and at Legacy Health in Portland from 2014-2019. In 2019, he joined OHSU as an Infectious Disease fellow and has stayed on as faculty. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. His clinical interests include inpatient infectious disease, antimicrobial stewardship, and gram negative infections. He also enjoys teaching at all levels of medicine, from medical students through fellows.
