Vanessa Layoun, M.D., M.P.H.

Biography

A Portland-area native, Dr. Layoun first became interested in medicine after a childhood field trip to OHSU. She attended Northwestern University where she studied anthropology and global health. Throughout her medical education, she stayed engaged with global women’s health issues, spending time in Ghana, Ethiopia, and Botswana.  She is interested in caring for women with high-risk pregnancies and is completing advanced training in maternal-fetal medicine.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, running on the OB/GYN department’s Hood to Coast relay team, yoga, cheering on the Portland Trail Blazers, and exploring new restaurants.
