Winnie Liu, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Winnie Liu is an endocrinologist who has special interests in metabolic bone disease, pituitary conditions and transgender medicine. Dr Liu is involved in osteogenesis imperfecta research. 

Dr. Liu began her journey in medicine as an undergrad at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. She then joined AmeriCorps in Chicago and worked closely with immigrant groups in health promotion.  She received her medical degree from Rush University and completed her three-year internal medicine at University of Colorado.

She and her husband moved to Oregon to be close to family while she completed her advanced specialty training in Endocrinology and Diabetes at Oregon Health and Science University. She worked at Adventist Health before returning to OHSU to train the next generation of doctors.
