Biography

Dr. Koethe is an interventional radiologist at the Oregon Health & Science University. She treats a diversity of medical conditions, including cancer (including hepatocellular carcinoma/liver cancer, liver metastasis, kidney cancer, pancreatic cancer), uterine fibroids (uterine artery embolization), benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostatic artery embolization), peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and knee arthritis (genicular artery embolization). 

Dr. Koethe graduated summa cum laude (highest honor) from Tufts University. She obtained her medical degree from Duke University. Following medical school, she completed an internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She did her her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco. Following residency, she further subspecialized in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, a world-renowned center for diagnosis, management and treatment of vascular disease. Currently, she is an assistant professor at OHSU, where she trains other physicians in interventional radiology and interventional oncology techniques. 

Dr. Koethe firmly believes in providing individualized, highest quality care for each of her patients. Her clinical interests include women's health, men's health, arthritic pain management, and minimally invasive cancer therapies. 

She has also served on numerous national and international society committees and scientific journals. She is an active clinical researcher in interventional radiology with over 30 scientific presentations and publications, including her investigation in navigational systems for image-guided ablations at the National Institute of Health.
