Biography
Zachary G. Jacobs, MD, FHM is a hospitalist with interests in medical education, medical humanities, and global health. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science, Dr. Jacobs received his medical degree with honors from the Oregon Health & Science University. He completed his internship and residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he enrolled in the Global Health & Underserved Populations Track, affording him the opportunity to work with underserved populations in both the Navajo Nation as well as Malawi, Africa. He then completed an Academic Hospital Medicine Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco before returning to OHSU as a hospitalist in 2018. In his free time, he enjoys reading fiction, exploring national parks, and using creative writing, photography, and art to tell stories and reflect on his experiences in healthcare.
