Biography
Zachary G. Jacobs, MD, FHM, FACP is a hospitalist who is passionate about medical education, medical humanities (narrative and graphic medicine), and health equity/global health. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science, Dr. Jacobs received his medical degree with honors from the Oregon Health & Science University. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center via the Global Health & Underserved Populations Track, which afforded him the opportunity to work with underserved populations in both the Navajo Nation as well as Malawi. He completed an Academic Hospital Medicine Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco before returning to OHSU as faculty in 2018. In his free time, he enjoys reading fiction, exploring national parks, and using creative writing, photography, and art to tell stories and reflect on his experiences in healthcare.
