Dr. Hunter Poarch is a family physician who cares for patients of all ages, from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. He finds joy in partnering with his patients as they work toward improved physical and mental health. Teamwork (with patients, nurses, office staff, medical staff) is an important aspect of working in family medicine and Dr. Poarch thrives on these relationships.

Outside of work, Dr. Poarch enjoys spending time with friends and loved ones over a nice cup of coffee or a home-cooked meal. He and his wife (also a family medicine doctor) enjoy hiking, backpacking, and exploring new mountain biking trails. They both spent time working in a rural medical clinic in New Zealand where they were able to enjoy a taste of the farming life and explore the great outdoors.

  17. Dr. Poarch is a fantastic doctor. He seems to know everything about the human body. But he's more than knowledgable; he's also sensitive, thoughtful, intuitive, understanding, and empathetic. In addition, he can easily translate complex, arcane medical information and concepts into simple, clear language that anyone can comprehend. At the age of 74, I've seen a fair number of physicians, and in my opinion, Dr. Poarch is the very best I've worked with. Besides that, he's a heckuva nice guy. All in all, I hold Dr. Poarch in the very highest regard.

  19. Yes, I really appreciated Hunter's clarity and his clear desire to help support me in my process of trying to manage my pain following the knee replacement surgery. Very compassionate, professional, kind, knowledgeable. Really felt like he took in my experience as part of what he offered back to me, and I think we came up with a solution that is, at least for the time being, working quite well, so I'm very happy with it.
