The Biostatistics and Design Program (BDP) is a University Shared Resource Core that collaborates with investigators across OHSU and beyond on questions of study design and analysis. We work with investigators through fee-for-service arrangements, and additionally offer advice sessions free of charge. Contact us to discuss your needs – we can make a customized recommendation.
The BDP is administratively housed in the OHSU–PSU School of Public Health. We have close ties with the Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) program, a unit within the Oregon Clinical & Translational Science Institute, OHSU’s CTSA. While BDP and BERD have overlapping goals and common team members, the primary distinction is that BERD facilitates research through training opportunities and mentoring, while BDP assists in carrying out this research through collaborative arrangements.
Grow your research skills
BERD sponsors seminars on topics of high need to the research community. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming seminars!
We are experts in study design and encourage researchers to consult with us in the planning phases of research. As the design of a study is linked with the analysis of the data, researchers can benefit greatly from involving a biostatistician early, starting in the design phase of the work.
