MR Pediatric Acute Stroke Brain/Rapid Swift WO Neuro Protocol
Scan Notes: Also referred to as "Rapid Swift" Protocol Patients less than 16 yrs old. 16 or older use Adult Stroke Protocol.
This is only for the acute stroke in kids where they are considering emergent intervention. We will still have our old stroke protocol for non-emergent cases. The goal is to attempt this unsedated if possible. That is why we do the DWI first. If the kids won't hold still for anything else, then we stop.
