Scan notes:

• This is a Rheumatoid Arthritis research study. The preferred position is for the patient to be in the Superman position. If not, if can be done with the hand by the side. The study has specific parameters based how the hand is positions – so choose the protocol based on that position. There are also specific ways the hand is prepped and the coil is positioned. See attached guide for directions. The holder can be found in MR1 in the drawer labelled research phantoms.
• The scans are built in with two stacks per sequence – one is through the fingers and the other is through the wrist.
