Portland Aerial Tram for commuters
One of the only aerial commuter trams in the country, Portland Aerial Tram connects South Waterfront to Marquam Hill. Passengers ride between S. Moody & Gibbs on the waterfront and Kohler Pavilion on the hill. Designed to handle severe weather conditions, the Tram runs year-round.

Access
The Tram is ADA-compliant and welcomes mobility-assistance devices. Two seats in each cabin are available for people who need to sit.
Service animals are welcome on the Tram. Non-service animals are not permitted.
Bikes are welcome on board; please follow operator instruction for proper boarding, or use the free bike valet located at the Tram's lower terminal. BIKETOWN stations are located near both tram terminals.
Fare
OHSU pays for OHSU associated rides in two ways:
- People with an OHSU badge can use their badge as eligible fare on the Tram
- Patients and their visitors may request courtesy tickets from their clinic or any OHSU concierge desk

Guidelines for riders
The Tram is public transit. You can help make riding it a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone by following guidelines and courtesies. Some of those include:
- When the cabin is full, consider placing large bags at your feet.
- Allow first-time riders, especially children, to find room closer to a window.
- Conversations aren't private, so wait until exiting the Tram to discuss sensitive or private information.
- Carry any lab samples in approved containers.
- If you're a healthcare provider, the Tram isn't patient transportation, so consider riding the Tram to meet your patient instead.
