Phlebotomy Services - Patient Lab Draw

Phlebotomy services will be provided to all registered outpatients for tests requested by an authorized health care provider. OHSU Registration Services can be reached by calling 503-494-8505. Prior appointments are not required as patients are served on a walk-in basis.

OHSU providers must ensure all orderable and miscellaneous tests are ordered in EpicCare systems. Lab test names and synonyms along with complete test information can be found in the Test Directory. Timed tests and glucose tolerance tests must arrive with adequate time to complete collection(s) before clinic closure.

Critical Lab Test results update:
Effective 11/6/2023, some minor changes were made to some lab test critical values to align values across the OHSU Health System. There are no changes to flagging in EPIC or to the process of calling critical values. The list of Critical Values can be found here: Critical Value Test List.

Notice for all ordering providers, including external providers:
Effective Monday, January 3, 2022, all final results for orders placed through OHSU's clinical laboratories will be immediately released to OHSU MyChart. In order to block immediate release, the ordering provider should notify OHSU on the requisition form - at the time the order is placed - of their reasonable belief that an information blocking exception applies.
This change is being made to comply with Oregon law and the Federal Information Blocking Rule.
