Our vision

Since 2018, David Dorr, M.D., M.S., Chief Research Information Officer, and his team have taken a collaborative approach to unifying research informatics at OHSU, including developing tools, infrastructure and strategy to meet the current and future informatics needs of OHSU researchers. The current strategy focuses on three pillars: leadership, innovation and facilitating service. The vision for the Office of the CRIO is that OHSU is a leader in providing innovative, excellent informatics tools and services across the institution and around the world.

The three strategic initiatives for the Office of the Chief Research Information Officer are: 1) internal and external leadership, 2) services covering data, tools, and analysis support, and 3) strategy and enhanced capabilities for innovation.
