General Dentistry
Teaching clinic
OHSU's General Dentistry Teaching Clinic provides complete, professional-quality care for adult patients while educating the next generation of dentists. Third- and fourth-year dental students are trained in the latest technologies, research and practices by experienced board-licensed faculty in our state-of-the-art clinics.
Services include:
- Cleanings, X-rays and exams
- Oral health screenings
- Fillings and restorations
- Crowns, including same-day services
- Implants
- Full and partial dentures
- Root canals
- Urgent care service
Our dental students provide excellent care and value to patients. Appointments are typically longer because of the instructional process, but fees are significantly lower than at private practices.
From routine annual check-ups to fillings and same-day crowns, our teaching clinic provides complete general dentistry care.
Please note: We are scheduling a limited number of new patients for same-day or next-day urgent care appointments, as well as patients referred for specialty treatments. It may take 6-8 weeks after we receive a referral to contact you to set an appointment. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
When you become a patient, you will be assigned to a third- or fourth-year dental student in our four-year Doctor of Medical Dentistry program. Faculty dentists supervise the student providers at every step of treatment to ensure high-quality care. Students often work in pairs to ensure continuity of care.
Appointments can last up to three hours. Read OHSU Dental Clinic’s Patient Appointment Protocol before arriving for your appointment.
