About the lab

The Hornick Laboratory is a clinically-focused basic science laboratory within the Department of Dermatology at OHSU.

Research in the Hornick Lab focuses on two main areas within cutaneous immunology: the immune response to early melanomas, and the way in which cancer therapies (particularly checkpoint inhibitors) can disrupt the mechanisms that prevent self-targeted immune responses in the skin from causing disease.
