This ORH  webinar features Sarah Hohman from the National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC). Recently, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Office of Civil Rights (OCR), released a final rule regarding section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), titled Nondiscrimination in Health Programs and Activities. Within the upcoming year, RHCs will need to comply with various requirements established in this rule, including:

  • Posting a notice of nondiscrimination
  • Posting a notice of the availability of translation and auxiliary aid services in the top 15 foreign languages
  • Establishing and training employees on policies and procedures related to nondiscrimination, and more!

Listen in to learn about the impacts on Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) and how to ensure compliance in your RHC.
