Adam B. King, M.P.A.S. (he/him)
- Physician Assistant, Student Health and Wellness Center
Biography
Adam is a Physician Assistant with Student Health.
He was born in New York City and lived in California before moving to Portland in 2005. He earned his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and master's degree from the OHSU Physician Assistant Program.
After a year with a community health clinic in Salem, Oregon, he came back to OHSU, where he worked with the Department of Family Medicine for 11 years.
During that time, in addition to his work as a primary care provider, he had various roles with the OHSU P.A. program: he served as a preceptor and mentor for numerous P.A. students, taught classes, and served on the admissions committee. In the field of pain management, he created a curriculum for the P.A. program and policy for the Department of Family Medicine.
Prior to his training as a P.A., he worked as a medical assistant at Planned Parenthood in northern California. His years of experience in primary care and serving the OHSU P.A. program were the perfect preparation for his role at Student Health.
He has been a die-hard, year-round bike commuter from his home in northeast Portland to OHSU since joining the clinic in early 2020.
