Jenna Emerson, M.D., FACOG
- Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, School of Medicine
Biography
Dr. Emerson is a surgeon and oncologist who specializes in the care of women with cancer. She was influenced in her training by many kind and compassionate doctors who set the example of caring deeply for a patient and her family, instead of focusing purely on the disease. Her approach to medicine is guided by personal experiences with friends, family members and beloved patients who have lived through serious illness with grace and humor. In addition to the surgical and technical skills of gynecologic oncology, Dr. Emerson’s training also had an intentional focus on recognizing and celebrating humanism and the arts in medicine.
Having traveled extensively in Latin America she has a strong appreciation of Latin American cultures and is certified as a bilingual provider.
An eighth-generation Oregonian, Dr. Emerson is thrilled to be back home in the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys spending time with her family on the coast in Tillamook and Clatsop Counties, gardening and hiking. She and her husband love listening to and playing live music together."
