Glomerular Disease Program
We are the only glomerular disease program in the region. We see patients with all forms of glomerular disease (e.g. nephrotic syndrome and glomerulonephritis). These conditions are often due to IgA nephropathy, Focal Segmental Glomerular Sclerosis (FSGS), Membranous nephropathy, Minimal Change Disease, Lupus nephritis, membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis, infection-related glomerulonephritis, multiple myeloma, and amyloidosis.
Our team of expert providers ensures that patients are provided with all the necessary and up-to-date information about their condition and the wide range of available treatment options. We collaborate closely with our sub-specialist colleagues in rheumatology for autoimmune conditions and oncology for cancer-related diseases to provide patients with a multidisciplinary approach to care.
Dr. Avasare (Program Director) and Dr. Ahn also participate in a multidisciplinary clinic treating various forms of amyloidosis with our oncology, cardiology, and neurology colleagues.
