Medical Student Clerkship
OHSU is committed to excellence in medical education and we provide mentorship to all students with the goals of building a solid foundation in the care of women and to develop the next generation of leaders in women's health.
Residency Program
The purpose of the residency program is to prepare physicians in the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology and to bring excellence to women's health care. The environment at OHSU encompasses the whole socioeconomic spectrum with care being provided in a compassionate, considerate, and respectful manner. As such, OHSU, and the ObGyn residency program, are committed to delivering high quality, cost effective family-oriented service in a collaborative environment that integrates education, research, and clinical leadership.
Fellowship programs
OHSU has several fellowship programs in women's health including complex family planning, maternal-fetal medicine, and urogynecology and pelvic floor reconstruction.
Continuing education programs
OHSU offers continuing medical education for medical professionals. Residents, Medical Students, Nurses and CMAs are encouraged to attend.
CFP Visiting Resident Elective
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is committed to educating the next generation of abortion providers. Residents with limited or no access to abortion training are invited to apply to a Complex Family Planning elective at OHSU for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The four-week resident rotation in Family Planning is designed to give an overview of the services a Complex Family Planning department offers. The goal is to provide exposure and experience in:
- Contraceptive counseling and provision
- Pre-procedure counseling and procedures for abortion and early pregnancy loss
Visiting residents will work hands-on with faculty and fellows.
Rotations are available between August 2024 and June 2025. Eligible residents will receive funding for travel and housing.
