Muir Orthopaedic Specialists, OrthoNorCal and Webster Orthopedics have joined forces to become Golden State Orthopedics & Spine (GSOS). Now, GSOS represents one of the largest orthopedic surgical practices in the Western United States.  We are looking for an experienced or new graduate Physician Assistant (PA) to build a practice alongside one of our younger enthusiastic fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeons specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery. Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • The PA may perform delegated functions as appropriate to their “scope of practice” under the direction and supervision of the physician.
  • Performing direct and indirect general orthopedic care and specialized care focusing on hip and knee  replacement.
  • Performing admission evaluation of new patients including medical history and relevant physical  examinations and managing continuum of patient care
  • Assisting or performing office-based procedures, including ultra-sound guided joint injections
  • Serve as first assist to supervising physician in surgery – e.g. retraction, general assistance throughout surgery and wound closure
  • May take call for patients under the supervision of a physician

Additionally ideal candidates will have ED FastTrack or previous urgent care experience. Practice Description: Valley Immediate Care - an Urgent Care organization in Southern Oregon (Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass, Central Point and Eagle Point).
