Donate to protect biomedical research

Recent executive orders and proposed changes at the National Institutes of Health would be catastrophic to human health. These events are currently threatening our ability to perform groundbreaking research and train the next generation of scientists. Foundational discoveries and ongoing work at the Vollum Institute impact neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis, developmental disorders like autism, as well as depression and addiction. If you would like to donate to our mission, you can make a gift here:

If you would like to discuss larger gift opportunities and how they would be used to combat the current threat to biomedical research, please contact Marc Freeman, Vollum Director or Kelly Monk, Vollum Co–Director.

Vollum scientists study the cells that make myelin, shown in this image, which are destroyed in multiple sclerosis. This work is critical to understand how to repair the nervous system in disease and injury.
