Pilonidal Cyst
Pilonidal cysts develop near the buttocks along the tailbone region, usually between the ages of 15-24. Pilonidal cysts can be asymptomatic (non bothersome) or symptomatic. Symptomatic pilonidal cysts contain tissue within the cyst that becomes inflamed and/or infected over the course of time. Cysts that are regularly infected may require surgical removal.
