Our Pediatric Hospitalists are trained and experienced general pediatricians who care for children needing admission to the general medical team in the hospital. They work to ensure your child receives the best possible care during their hospital stay.

Hospitalists are an important part of your child’s care team. They work closely with your child’s regular doctor (pediatrician, family practitioner, or other primary care provider) and take into account that knowledge and history when making decisions about your child’s care plan.   
Our services include:

• Ensuring your hospitalized child’s medical needs are fully met
• Coordinating care when your child needs treatment for more than one condition
• Helping new parents and newborns in the OHSU Mother Baby Unit
• Providing supervision and training for future pediatricians, family medicine doctors and medical students.

We practice family-centered care and strive for excellence in communication with you, your child and your family as well as your child’s regular doctor.
