Our waiting area is a separate, secure area just for children and their families. Until a room becomes available for your child, the waiting area provides video games, toys and a TV tuned to children’s programs.

Volunteers trained in child-life techniques are available during the evening to offer activities, support you and your child, answer questions and help keep you informed about the wait.

We may ask you not to give your child anything to eat or drink while waiting. Please follow these instructions.

If at any time you become concerned about your child during the wait, or if your child’s condition changes, please notify the nurse immediately. No parent concern is too small.
