Training and Education
We are dedicated to educating the next generation of surgeons with interests in hernia-related disease and surgical repair.
Part of the reason we excel is the wonderful support staff and trainees that join us on our mission of providing exceptional care. OHSU supports one of the largest general surgery residency programs in the United States and hosts multiple fellowship programs in various surgical subspecialties.
We provide numerous hernia-related educational opportunities at OHSU including: weekly hernia rounds, quarterly multi-institutional hernia rounds with regional and national attendees, and ongoing digital media content creation including podcasts, narrated videos, digital texts & manuscripts, and more within a dedicated Hernia Service cloud-based content folder.
