Learning and Development Leadership

Anna Heinrich

Anna Heinrich, Interim Director of Learning and Development
Anna joined OHSU in 2016 and brings over 20 years of experience in facilitating, designing and managing training programs. She has taught and created classes in various topics including leadership, community health, and virtual teams. Anna has her Master’s in Adult Education and is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance. When she is not hanging out with her family, playing games or cooking, you can find Anna facilitating New Manager Leadership Essentials, Leadership Foundations Program or other leadership programs.

Career and Workplace Enhancement (CWE) Center

Molly Clasen

Molly Clasen, Senior Trainer

Since joining OHSU in 2015, Molly has held six different positions: Administrative Assistant, Administrative Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Program Technician, Trainer, and now, Senior Trainer. Her responsibilities as Senior Trainer include designing CWE Center eLearning courses and expanding asynchronous learning opportunities for OHSU employees. She also manages the CWE Center's internal communications initiatives, graphic design systems, data analysis, outreach goals, and LinkedIn Learning programming. Outside of work, Molly enjoys reading old books, drawing new pictures, and obsessing over her two extremely particular tabby cats.

Maighie Fitzgerald

Maighie Fitzgerald, Lead Senior Trainer
Maighie joined OHSU in September 2011. She facilitates a variety of the CWE Center's learning opportunities, including the Emerging Leader Certificate Series. Maighie hopes to provide employees with skills that are practical and applicable in the workplace. She holds a Masters degree in Organizational and Human Resource Education from Oregon State University. Most of her spare time is spent with her two young daughters and husband, preferably in the great outdoors! Maighie can also be found reading a book with a cat (or two) on her lap. 

Mary Lind

Mary Lind, Conflict Management Specialist
Mary joined OHSU in December 2012. She offers a three-part Conflict Management Certificate Series and supports a team of professionally trained conflict coaches. Her classes and one-on-one coaching assist employees in addressing the challenges we all face as we work closely with others. Mary has taught and practiced conflict resolution in a variety of government, community and university settings, both locally and internationally. She holds two master's degrees: one in adult learning/conflict resolution from Portland State University; the other in peace education from the United Nations-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. She believes that conflict is a normal, inevitable and potentially constructive aspect of human interaction, resulting from differences that both challenge and enrich us. Mary is a fan of dinner parties, live storytelling and reading memoirs. She is also relishing the fun, challenging and deepening aspects of life with a young son.

Brittany Malley

Brittany Malley, Administrative Coordinator

Brittany started working at OHSU in 2017 and joined the CWE Center team in 2022 as Administrative Coordinator. Brittany balances many responsibilities, including processing the Professional Development Reimbursement Program (PDRP), responding to emails and phone calls, providing customer service to learners, and assisting facilitators with class administration in Compass. Her professional passion and focus is Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and she is currently one of OHSU's team of facilitators leading employee trainings on "Belonging at OHSU."

Christine Lundeen

Christine Lundeen, Career Development Specialist
Christine joined the CWE Center team in 2014. She provides career development programming, classes and career counseling with the goal of promoting an environment of career satisfaction and growth. Christine finds meaning in helping people identify their strengths, skills, interests and values and how those translate into a satisfying career path. In addition to supporting individuals, she is also enthusiastic about working on organization wide initiatives that increase work engagement. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and holds a master's degree in counseling from the University of Cincinnati and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Linfield College. 

Iaen Nylund

Iaen Nylund, Senior Trainer
Iaen joined OHSU in 2012. He holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration with a focus on special population outreach from SUNY University at Buffalo and a B.A. in English Literature and Women and Gender Studies from St. John Fisher College. He facilitates the project management series, computer skills classes and other strategy driven learning opportunities that improve workplace confidence and performance.

Rebecca Saunders

Rebecca Saunders, Workplace Education Specialist
Rebecca has held a variety administrative positions at OHSU since 2001. Making use of the employee tuition benefit, she earned a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Portland State University while working full-time. She facilitates Workplace English classes and Adult Basic Education programs for frontline workers. She is passionate about helping a diverse group of employees develop language, literacy and computer skills that will allow them to reach their personal and career goals. Rebecca enjoys traveling the world and learning about different cultures. Closer to home, she enjoys organic gardening, modern quilting and riding her bike when it's not raining.

Compass Support

Armando Luna

Armando Luna, Human Resources Systems Manager
Armando has been employed at OHSU since 1996 and has held multiple positions in ITG, Organizational Effectiveness and Human Resources. He currently works on the Compass Support team, and a typical day finds him administering the Compass Learning Management system by assisting users with training issues, creating and running training reports, developing online learning content and generally helping people at OHSU create and track training.

Bennett Do

Bennett Do, Learning Management Systems (LMS) Specialist
Bennett started as a volunteer at OHSU in 2013 and was then hired as a Public Representative with Concierge Services in 2014. During that time, he was still figuring out his future at OHSU but distinctly remembers thinking that if he could work anywhere at OHSU, it would be at the CWE Center. A few years later, dreams did come true, and he became the Administrative Assistant for the CWE Center within the Learning and Development team. After 5 years of growth and providing excellent customer service, an opportunity arose within the Compass team to further his skillsets. He became a Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist in the Spring of 2022 and now provides customer service and support to OHSU community members navigating the LMS. Born and raised in Portland, Bennett is always looking for a new doughnut to try. If you don’t see him eating a doughnut, you will see him binge-watching dramas in his free time.

Katharine Hart, Learning Management Systems (LMS) Specialist

Katharine joined OHSU in 2012 and has been with the Compass team since May 2022, providing support for Compass’s many users and functionalities. She was previously a member of the Women’s and Children’s Services group at OHSU, where she held a variety of positions in administrative and HR support. An East Coast native, Katharine hasn’t quite gotten around to loving the rain, but does appreciate having mountains and forests to explore.

Leadership Development

Dahir Dahir

Dahir Dahir, Career Advancement Advocate

Dahir joined OHSU in 2008 and has since held variety of different positions with Hospital Transportation, Trauma and Surgical ICU and Human Resource Talent Acquisition. He currently works with the Leadership & Development team as a Career Advancement Advocate. Dahir relishes the opportunity in supporting people discover career possibilities. He is motivated in his current role in helping create a mentorship program for OHSU’s Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Along with helping establishing career pathways into Leadership roles.

Brenda

Brenda Đào, Learning and Development Specialist
Brenda joined OHSU in 2021 and has been working in higher education since 2010. She brings experience in leadership trainings, identity development, program implementation, and facilitation. She specialized in social justice topics, including anti-racism practices and dismantling White Supremacy in our lives and work space. Brenda has her M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy. In her current role, she designs and implements leadership curricula and programs with a specific focus on cultivating and retaining leaders of color. Brenda is a big foodie and is constantly learning about and enjoying all types of cuisines. She also is a BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) fan and enjoys talking about their music and the joy they bring into her life.

Kristin Homberg headshot

Kristin Holmberg, Senior Learning and Development Specialist
Kristin joined OHSU in 2019 after 20 plus years working at colleges and universities. During that time, much of her focus was on presenting leadership topics to help individuals and groups work together more successfully. She believes that we are all on a leadership development journey and that learning about ourselves and others can make us all more successful. She has an MS in Student Affairs in Higher Education. Kristin is enjoying her work with New Manager Leadership Essentials, the Leader Mentoring Program, and other leadership workshops.
