Alicia Hardin graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in physical education studies with a concentration in fitness management from the University of Delaware. Originally from the Washington D.C. area, she moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1994 to complete a 6-month internship at the Portland Adventist Medical Center, and later went on to work at the Portland YMCA as a Program Director for 10 years. She has experience working with different fitness levels from the novice to the athlete.
Alicia believes that the key to success is to integrate exercise into your healthy lifestyle. In addition, having fun and variety in your workouts makes it more likely that you will make lasting lifestyle changes. She emphasizes functional training utilizing different modalities including: physio-balls, medicine balls, circuit training, calisthenics, and yoga.
Alicia loves being outdoors: cycling, stand up paddle boarding, cross country and backcountry skiing, mountaineering, and art walks.
