Wound Care 

We provide comprehensive care for all types of chronic wounds. In general, a chronic wound is defined as one that has not shown significant healing within 30 days. We evaluate causes for non-healing wounds, order relevant tests, labs or imaging, create a care plan for each individual, order wound dressing supplies or home health, perform in clinic debridement and advanced procedures including biologic tissue products and total contact cast offloading. Some of the most common wounds we treat are: 

• Diabetic Ulcers 
• Venous Ulcers 
• Arterial Ulcers 
• Pressure Ulcers 
• Atypical Ulcers 
• Surgical Wound Dehiscence 

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy increases oxygen to tissues, decreases inflammation, improves immune response and increases angiogenesis. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves a patient breathing 100% oxygen under increased atmospheric pressure in a sealed acrylic chamber for approximately 2 hours each day Monday through Friday, for one to three months depending on the indication.  Here are a few common indications:

• Diabetic foot ulcers (Wagner grade 3 or >, present for > 30 days and less than 50% reduction in size despite advanced wound care) 
• Radiation injuries (Soft tissue and Osteoradionecrosis, with completion of radiation > 6 months prior to start of treatment, and not actively receiving chemo) 
• Osteomyelitis (Chronic/refractory > 60 days despite long term antibiotics and surgical debridement or not a surgical candidate)
• Preparation of previously failed graft (some insurances cover flap preservation)
• Acute arterial insufficiency, Crushing or avulsion injuries, amputation with reattachment
• Gas Gangrene/Necrotizing Fasciitis
• Acute Sensorineural Hearing Loss
