The Portland Rhinoplasty Course will emphasize intensive and personal contact with expert faculty. This will be accomplished by strictly limiting enrollment in the course, which will encourage and maximize exchange between participants and faculty.
This course will cover the art of rhinoplasty in depth. All aspects of the complex procedure will be discussed, from the fundamentals to the latest advancements in the field. The course will emphasize several key areas of rhinoplasty surgery, including:
- Current evolution of the open structure approach
- Secure strategies in revision rhinoplasty
- New understandings relating form to function
- Innovative applications of alloplastic materials
Each day of the course will feature structured panel discussions, faculty-student workshops, didactic presentations, and case analysis with the expert faculty. Participants are encouraged to bring their own difficult cases for discussion and analysis.
This course is appropriate for the resident surgeon, surgeons who wish to brush up on the fundamentals of rhinoplasty and the experienced practitioner interested in the latest technical refinements.

Laboratory
Participants in the laboratory portion of the course will have the opportunity to dissect fresh cadaver specimens. Relevant anatomy and surgical maneuvers will be demonstrated. Laboratory enrollment will be strictly limited to ensure ample opportunities for personal interaction with faculty instructors. While some instruments will be available, participants should provide their own rhinoplasty instruments and headlight to facilitate the dissection. Course participants are urged to register early for this outstanding educational opportunity.
